Frequently Asked
Is Cape Town safe?
Yes, generally. As in any major city, we take sensible precautions: avoiding solitary walks at night and keeping an eye on personal belongings. You're with me throughout the tour.
Do I need a visa or vaccinations?
Many nationalities, including Türkiye, travel visa-free for up to 30 days. There are no mandatory vaccinations. It's always worth checking your passport's specific requirements before you book.
When's the best time to visit?
Cape Town is at its best from October to April: long sunny days, calm seas, gardens in full bloom. The winter months (June to August) are wetter but quieter, and the mountains are at their most dramatic.
Who can join?
There's no age limit. Solo travellers, couples, and families are all welcome.
How fit do I need to be?
Average fitness is plenty. The pace is unhurried and we plan around your comfort. If you have any concerns about walking distances, knees, or altitude, let me know in advance and I'll adjust the route.
How much will I spend on top of the tour?
Only personal expenses. Roughly $150 covers the lunches and dinners that aren't included. Cards are accepted almost everywhere, so you won't need much cash.
How does payment work?
A 30% deposit secures your spot, payable in USD or local currency. The balance is settled when you arrive in Cape Town.
Can we tour other places in South Africa?
Of course. Kruger, the Garden Route, the Drakensberg, the wine country and beyond. Tours outside Cape Town are quoted separately. Tell me where you'd like to go and we'll plan it together.
Can you plan a custom route for us?
Yes. If the standard Cape Town programme isn't quite what you have in mind, we'll build a route around your interests, dates, and pace. Custom routes are quoted separately based on what we plan.
